UPE Parallel Flange

There is a large variety of different stainless steel channel sizes, which can be sourced throughout the world in both imperial and metric sizes. Montanstahl has placed its focus on stainless steel grades only.

The UPE series with parallel flanges is now also available in stainless steel and is a very interesting alternative to the UPN series.
The UPE profiles have thinner material thicknesses but on the other hand slightly wider flanges than the UPN profiles. However their static values are pretty much comparable.
Due to the characteristic of the UPE channels, architects and engineers are able to reduce weight by 9% when calculating around the strong axis and even 24% when referring to the weaker axis. Therefore using UPE profiles results in weight saving up to 30% by keeping the same static conditions. Furthermore the new UPE series match perfectly with the dimensions of the IPE series.

Both hot rolled and laser fused stainless steel European standard channels UPN, Channels with parallel flanges UPE and Miscellaneous channels with parallel flanges UPA. Standard stainless steel sections replicate the dimensions of carbon steel profiles.
