BC Bar Channels

BC- is the short form for bar channel section with parallel flanges. Their tolerances are defined by ASTM A 484.
In contrast to the MC-Channels series, flanges and webs have always the same material thickness. Although lower static values – with equal profile height – are achieved than with the MC-Channels, the BC-channels channels are seen as a low-cost alternative for a broad variety of applications as the specific weight per meter is low.
In addition channels with parallel flanges are much easier to assemble as no conical flat washer have to be used to compensate for the natural conicity of the C-Channel’s flanges.

There is a large variety of different stainless steel channel sizes, which can be sourced throughout the world in both imperial and metric sizes. Montanstahl has placed its focus on stainless steel grades only.
Structural profiles are produced using highly automated hot rolling mills and laser welding lines in different locations. If you do not see what you are looking for, please contact us, and our experienced staff will be glad to help you with your needs.

Both hot rolled and laser fused stainless steel C, BC and MC channels. Standard stainless steel sections replicate the dimensions of carbon steel profiles.
If your project requires something non-standard, our manufacturing technology allows us to produce custom sections in the shape and alloy you demand to meet your exact needs.
